March 13, 2019

Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Directors received an update on Combie Reservoir Sediment and Mercury Removal Project during their Feb. 27 meeting. Present were President Scott Miller, Vice President Ricki Heck, Chris Bierwagen, Laura Peters and Nick Wilcox.

Approximately 40,000 cubic yards of sediment was removed from the dry lakebed from Oct. 1 to Nov. 19, 2018. The next phase – from April through August of this year – will use a suction dredge to remove sediment in wet conditions. Read more about the project here.
