Board of Directors Sept. 26 meeting wrap: Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) and Alta Sierra Reservoir replacement

The Nevada Irrigation District (NID) Board of Directors reviewed the annual audited financial report and took action to replace the Alta Sierra Reservoir during its Sept. 26 meeting. Present were President William Morebeck and Directors Nancy Weber, John Drew, Nick Wilcox and Scott Miller.

Directors heard a presentation about the District’s 2017 audited Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR), and authorized the Finance Manager to publish and file the report. Read more here.

Also, the Board approved the Alta Sierra Reservoir Replacement Project to replace the deteriorating infrastructure with two new storage tanks. Read more about the project here.

The General Manager reported District water storage is 185,075 acre-feet, which is 69 percent of storage capacity and 113 percent of average for the year. Read the agenda here.

The next meeting of the NID Board of Directors will be held during a special session on Tuesday, October 9 at 6 pm at the Grass Valley Veterans’ Memorial Building at 255 South Auburn Street in Grass Valley. NID Board meetings are open to the public.
