Rollins Reservoir

(Sept. 23, 2022) Boat launches on Rollins Reservoir will be closed during the mornings of Sept. 28-30 as Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) works on electrical equipment in the area. Also, movement on the lake will be restricted while crews are working on or near the water.

Helicopters will be used to upgrade a high voltage power line and remove transmission towers and overhead power lines that are no longer in service. These lines span across a portion of the Rollins Reservoir near the launch ramp at Peninsula Campground, as well as the branch of the lake that accesses Greenhorn Campground and launch ramp.

The boat launch closures and lake access restrictions will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to noon on Sept. 28-30.

PG&E will post signage and traffic control will be in place while the safety work is performed. In addition, roads and public spaces, such as parks or trails, may be temporarily closed for public safety.

Nevada Irrigation District apologizes for the temporary disruption at its Rollins recreational facilities. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
